Learn about native bees including other pollinators and how you can increase biodiversity in your Early Childhood setting.

This presentation will:

  • Show how you can keep a native stingless ‘sugarbag’ bee hive in your garden
  • A close up look at St Andrews ‘Sugarbag’ hive will show you how you can integrate bees in your own play area
  • A talk about some of the concerns that you or parents may have about bees and strategies to support these concerns
  • Discuss the importance of biodiversity and habitat for healthy eco-systems.

Seed Harvest Spoon will provide you some simple ways to increase bio-diversity that can be applied to any urban garden.

Lastly you will have the opportunity to learn activities that you can do with young children to make native bee habitat and more!
