Parenting course: brain development in children

This parenting course provides insight into the link between a child's brain, body and behaviour, and explores how a child’s behaviour is one of the best windows into brain functioning. By the end of the two sessions you will:

  • Identify factors that affect brain development
  • Understand the impact of stress on development
  • Learn about the five Rs for supporting healthy brain development.

The sessions will focus on the factors affecting brain growth and development, how you can scaffold early communication skills and learn ways to support the development of executive functions at each of the following stages:

  • Birth to 12 months old
  • 12–24 months old
  • 24–36 months old
  • 3–6 years old.

$30 per person.
