Discover the magic of colour and creativity!
Ever wondered how the colours of the rainbow are made? Did you know you can create any colour you like using just three primary colours?
In this workshop, children will discover the science behind colour mixing and learn how rainbows come to life! Anchored by the story How to Catch a Rainbow by Naomi Jones and Ana Gomez, students will then create their own rainbow collage inspired by imagination, texture, and the beauty of colour in nature. We’ll use leaves, flowers, and mixed materials to celebrate nature, art, and science — all in one colourful session!
This event is for children aged 5-8 only. Children who are not within this age range will not be permitted into the event. Parents/carers welcome to stay.
Photos and video may be taken during the event and shared across the library's and Council's communication channels (including but not limited to social media and eNewsletters). Please notify a staff member if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
