Concord Library View in maps

Attention all creative coding kids! Join us for Scratch Day 2023 celebrated worldwide on Saturday 13th May.

In this 90-minute Scratch workshop, you'll have the opportunity to learn exciting coding concepts and create your very own Scratch game. The instructors will be on hand to guide you through the process of designing and coding your very own game, ensuring a fun and educational experience for all. Get ready to unleash your imagination and dive into the world of game design!

Scratch is an innovative programming platform that makes learning coding easy and fun for kids. By using a simple drag-and-drop interface, you'll be able to create interactive stories, animations, and games, all while picking up valuable coding skills along the way. Please note that participants must Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), such as an iPad or laptop, and have a Scratch account to take part in this workshop. If you don't already have an account, it's quick and easy to sign up for a free one on the Scratch website: https://scratch.mit.edu/

Suitable for ages 9–12 years and recommended for kids who have used Scratch before with good computer skills.

We design the learning and social experience of our workshops very carefully, and it is important for the enjoyment and safety of all participants that your child is within the age range and experience for this program.
