Food sustainability isn't only about the actual ingredients we eat. It’s a combination of how the food is produced, how it’s distributed, how it’s packaged and how it’s consumed. Join us at this fantastic workshop where you will be equipped with skills to reduce your impact on the environment.

The workshop will start with a gardening lesson, showing you how easily you can grow your own food whether you have a garden or just a balcony. Followed by a worm farming information session to guide you on how to turn your food waste into rich and nutritious fertiliser for our garden. The afternoon will be wrapped up with a cooking demonstration where you'll learn to cook and taste a variety of plant-based dishes that you can easily make at home, without burning a hole in your pocket.

This event is only open to residents of the City of Canada Bay. Proof of residency will be required and all attendees will need a confirmed booking to attend. Interested participants from out of the LGA will be placed on a waitlist.

As this is a free popular workshop/event, it is essential that all bookings are filled. No-shows at previous Council workshops will not be given priority for this or future workshops/excursions and will be placed on the waiting list. In the case that this event is fully booked, your details will be added to an automated waitlist. For further information, please contact Council's Sustainability team at 9911 6555.
