Are you 13-18 years old? Have you ever wanted to learn the ukulele? Learn how in our four-week Youth Create program led by special guest musician Jack Colwell – no experience is necessary!
Over four weeks you will learn basic scales, chords, and how to swap between playing a single melody line and rhythm pattern. You’ll learn how to play ukulele as a group, as well as learn a piece of your own choosing, and even try your hand at composition. The final session will include a small showcase so you can show off your new talent to friends and family.
Sessions are 90 minutes, and resources and a ukulele from the City of Canada Bay Libraries will be provided for take home practice. Practice makes perfect!
