City of Canada Bay welcomes in the Year of the Rabbit

Residents and visitors are invited to come along to a multicultural feast for the senses as the City of Canada Bay celebrates Lunar New Year.

“This year our Lunar New Year program is a colourful celebration of our diverse community,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.

“I invite everyone to take part in the wonderful events planned and join us to welcome in the Year of the Rabbit.”

TASTE walking food tours

Residents and visitors are invited to a special two-hour walking food tour in Rhodes. Learn about Lunar New Year traditions and indulge in culinary delights while following an experienced guide from Taste Food Tours. The tours run from 23 January to 2 February.

Sense Asia Rhodes Lunar New Year Festival

Kick off the Year of the Rabbit on Sunday, 22 January at Rhodes Foreshore Park. Join us from 9:30am–6pm to enjoy cultural performances, food, activities, and more. This event is hosted by ACBC and Blueonline.

Rabbit by the River

Rhodes Foreshore Park will come alive with a three-day cultural festival from 27–29 January. Enjoy a fantastic line up of performances, food and activities including a special firework display on Saturday, 28 January. This event is hosted by the Rhodes Multicultural Community Association, AB Media and TM Media.

Rhodes Waterside

As part of our Lunar New Year program, Rhodes Waterside has a jam-packed schedule of events including food tastings, a Fortune Factory, lion dances, workshops, plus more.

Rhodes Central

Head down to Rhodes Central until 22 January for lion dance workshops, performances, face painting, and more.
