Film Screening: Land of a Thousand Sorrows Revisited

The first Australian screening of documentary film that tells the fascinating story of 58 Canadian patriots exiled to Australia.

58 Canadian patriots from Lower Canada were sent into exile in the penal colony of Australia from 1840-48. These political prisoners spent their time at the Longbottom Stockade in Concord, and their legacy lives on in the name Canada Bay.
