Celebrate NSW Seniors Festival 2019 with the City of Canada Bay!

Loving Life in Late Life Forum

What does it mean to grow old? Should Australians prepare for a world of nursing homes and dementia? Should you continue to work and study? Can you choose how you age? Hear insights by special speakers at the Loving Life in Late Life Forum. Lunch and morning tea will be provided.

Walking Group

Join in an enjoyable one hour walk around the bay with lovely friendly locals. The group meets at Taplin Park in Drummoyne and walks for around 2km on flat terrain. Please wear walking shoes, a hat and bring along some drinking water.

Men's Discussion Group

Come and find out about the men's only discussion group. This group gives you the chance to discuss topics and issues of mutual interest and a chance to make new friends.

Twilight Golf Croquet

Make new friends, learn a new sport and have fun at our Twilight Golf Croquet! Golf Croquet will be taught and if you are attending the following week, gateball will be introduced

Dress casually, wear slacks and flat soled, covered shoes. Bring a hat, sunglasses and water bottle. Light refreshments will be served.

Craft and Chat

Do you love a good yarn? Come along to Drummoyne Community Centre's Craft and Chat Group. The group meets weekly on Thursdays between 1-2:30pm. Bring your own craft, join in making squares for crocheted blankets which are donated to charity, or just come along for a cup of tea and a chat.

Peace, Meditation and Community Dinner

On the Road 65+ information workshop

Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) in partnership with the City of Canada Bay will present a workshop for older road users, both drivers and pedestrians. The workshop will cover changes in health and how this can impact your safety, pedestrian safety, driver licencing at 75 and 85 including what to do when you retire from driving. It will also discuss transport options around the City of Canada Bay such as the BayRider service and mobility scooters. Light refreshments will also be served.
