Join Helen Kosac for a hands-on gardening workshop series where you will learn how to create a thriving edible garden.

At this session we will observe how the student garden bed created in our first two workshops is progressing and conduct a quick overall garden check. We will also cover:

• Harvesting techniques and use of all plant (no waste, storage and preservation)
• Natural weed and pest management plan
• How to reduce pests and weeds
• Homemade chemical-free weed and pest deterrents
• Planning for spring planting
• Planning for soil improvement and plant lists based on what we have learned so far, for example plan for appropriate plants, biodiversity, companion planting etc
