Red Cross Clothing Drive

The Red Cross Clothing Drive is back! On Saturday, 19 November from 10am–4pm, Red Cross is making it easy to donate your quality pre-loved clothing to Red Cross Shops by teaming up with Uber to offer a free pick up of up to 20kg of clothing.

Uber will then drop off goods at central collection points for distribution, including in the City of Canada Bay.   

Get involved by packaging up your quality, pre-loved clothing for donation and booking a free Uber Package pick-up via the Uber app. You'll need to set "Red Cross Clothing Drive" as the destination. See below for full instructions.

Funds raised from the sale of clothes help Red Cross support Australians facing hardship, crisis, or disaster. Plus, you’ll help save the planet by reducing landfill and your carbon footprint.

Booking

How to book a collection:

  1. Gather your pre-loved items into a bag or box, no heavier than 20kg, so it comfortably sits in the boot of a midsize car. 
  2. Open the Uber app between 10am–4pm and navigate to the “Package” option.
  3. Click “Send a Package”, enter "Red Cross Clothing Drive" as the destination, and select one of the "Red Cross Clothing Drive" locations shown. You may also see a banner in the app relating to the Clothing Drive, which when clicked will allow you to select one of the Red Cross Clothing Drive locations shown. 
  4. You will see a $0 amount payable when booking an Uber Package with the drop-off location set to one of the Red Cross Clothing Drive Drop off locations. The code is redeemable once.
