Seniors Festival: History walking tour

Seniors Festival: History walking tour

Canada Bay Museum View in maps

Meet our Local Studies Librarian at the Canada Bay Museum for a 2.5-hour walk along Majors Bay Road and an exploration of the history of Concord. On the walk you will learn about the Indigenous history of the area, then Isaac Nichols, the Canadian Exiles, plus WW1 and the local flicks. We also hope to answer the question: Who was the Major that Majors Bay was named after?

Please bring hat, water and sunscreen, and wear comfortable shoes. This walk requires moderate fitness and participants will meet at the City of Canada Bay Museum allowing you to explore the collections there.
