Bag It! A free night of film and discussion

| 11 October 2013

Environmentalist and plastic pollution spokesperson Tim Silverwood will host a discussion and screening of the award-winning documentary Bag It at Five Dock Library on Tuesday, 15 October from 6.30pm.

Tim will also give an insight into his expedition to the ‘Great Pacific Garbage Patch’ in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and explain how plastic impacts Australian shores.

To secure a place please visit:  or call 9911 6555.

The film evening is part of ‘Stop the Litter in the Bay’, a new project aiming to encourage the community to clean up after themselves when using pristine Cabarita Park.

The park is popular for picnics and barbecues on weekends and this is set to increase over summer, with the project aimed at providing education to park users about how to clean up after themselves.

The project, funded by the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH), will target behaviour via a local media campaign ‘Don’t be a tosser’ and provide funding for minor infrastructure improvements.
