Council won the award for their work in targeting specific communications to inform and engage with a diverse and evolving community in Rhodes.
"Rhodes is an area that is undergoing a huge transformation and it is paramount that we communicate with and involve our community in this," Mayor Tsirekas said.
"Winning this award is acknowledgement that we are on the right track in bringing our community with us as we work together on the growth of Rhodes," Mayor Tsirekas added.
The 2015 GCA Awards for Excellence were held on Thursday, 14 May 2015 in Sydney.
