Rhodes Station Precinct Planning Proposal on public exhibition

Located next to Rhodes train station, the Station Precinct is set to be transformed into an exciting new area for the Rhodes community, says City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas. 

“Draft plans for the Station Precinct are now on public exhibition and I encourage the community to have a look and provide feedback,” Mayor Tsirekas said. 

The draft plans include:

        The Station Precinct has been identified as a key location for a range of new apartment buildings and will include improvements to the public domain such as new lighting, street furniture and public art. 

        Improvements to Walker Street are also being proposed and include a new overpass from the train station, bicycle parking, taxi ranks, kiss ‘n’ ride car spaces and shared pedestrian and cycle paths. 

        We are holding ‘drop-in’ sessions to provide our community with further information. Come to a session on:

                Draft plans for the Station Precinct will be on public exhibition from to and can be viewed at Council’s Civic Centre in Marlborough Street, Drummoyne and at Five Dock and Concord Libraries, and on , under Council/Council Responsibilities/Items on Public Exhibition. 

                Information panels will also be on display at Rhodes Waterside (ground level, opposite OPSM), Rider Boulevard, throughout the exhibition period.
