The Mayor’s Golf Day will be on Friday, 22 November and all proceeds will go to the Asbestos Diseases Research Institute (ADRI) at Concord Hospital.
“We are encouraging businesses to get involved in one of our biggest fundraising events of the year,” Mayor Tsirekas said.
“Not only is it raising money for mesothelioma research, it is also a fantastic day out.
"This year’s charity fundraiser coincides with Asbestos Awareness Week and all monies raised will go to the ADRI to aid research into the treatment of mesothelioma – a cancer caused by asbestos exposure.
“If you’re an organisation or business owner who would like to get involved by providing funding or prizes for the day please get in touch, we have some great sponsorship packages available,” Mayor Tsirekas said.

The 2013 Mayor’s Golf Day will be held at Massey Park Golf Club and registrations are $120 per person or $480 per team. A lunch-only option is also available for $40 per person.
Registrations are open until close of business on Monday, 11 November.
