Town centres to come alive!

Council | 24 November 2020

Residents and visitors can look forward to a host of events and activities throughout town centres this summer.

Council resolved to distribute funds across the City of Canada Bay with a program of COVIDSafe events and activations throughout the local town centres.

“We are thrilled to be supporting local business, boosting our economy, and providing safe, fun and interactive events for our community that are COVID safe this summer,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.

“By putting together a program of events in our town centres across the City of Canada Bay we are giving life to more areas in our community.”

“Despite being unable to gather together for the carnival in 2021, I know our community will enjoy the program of local events throughout the City and I know that local business will be pleased to see town centres coming to life in some exciting ways.”

The community can look forward to events such as live music in the Drummoyne Shared Spaces pilot project on Formosa Street and Church Street, Christmas carolers across the City, Italian Opera in Fred Kelly Place, Christmas markets, and much more.
