With deep respect for preceding First Nations artists and his cultural past, Jesse focuses on the future and shares the essence of his being through his heartfelt life stories. Not to be constrained by labels, Jesse’s music has been described as soulful, Indie, Pop and Blues. He is a festival favourite, an engaging performer and a delight to listen to.

Col was the first Aboriginal person to win a Golden Guitar at the Australasian Country Music Awards in Tamworth in 1973. He was then inducted into the Country Music Hands of Fame a couple of years after that. Then in 1990 during NAIDOC Week, Col was voted the Aboriginal Artist of the Year for New South Wales.
