Author Talk: Kate Grenville

Join us at Five Dock Library for an author talk with Kate Grenville.

Kate’s new novel Restless Dolly Maunder, is the story of Dolly Maunder. Born at the end of the nineteenth century, society’s doors were slowly starting to creak ajar for women. Growing up in a poor farming family in country New South Wales, Dolly spent her restless life pushing at those doors.

In this compelling new book, Kate Grenville uses family memories to imagine her way into the life of her grandmother. This is the story of a woman, working her way through a world of obstacles. Her battles and triumphs helped to open doors for the women who came after.

Drinks and nibbles will be available from 6.15pm and the author talk will start at 6:30pm.
