Book Week 2019: Creative Writing Workshop with Will Kostakis

Free event for youth ages 12-18

Celebrate Children’s Book Week and join us at this creative writing workshop with Will Kostakis. This workshop will focus on writing engaging short stories and crafting character voices in collaborative exercises.

Will Kostakis is an award-winning author for young adults and splits his time between writing novels, working as a journalist and touring high schools nationally. His debut novel, Loathing Lola was released when he was just 19 and met with critical acclaim. Will won Sydney Morning Herald Young Writer of the Year when he was a high school student for a collection of short stories. In 2014 his novel The First Third was shortlisted for the Children's Book Council of Australia Book of the Year, and Australian Prime Minister's Literacy Awards. The Sidekicks is Will's third novel for young people.
