Join us to find out about our recently launched Community Circles program in the City of Canada Bay. The program aims to reduce social isolation and loneliness in the community by creating meaningful connections.

Community Circles work by bringing together family, friends and volunteers to help someone in need of support live a better, more connected life. They promote and support the person at the centre to do more of what matters to them. Circles can be for anyone who needs a bit of extra help and connection including carers, older people, young people, people living with a disability or mental health challenges, and even families.

Circles are run by certified facilitators who help to organise the Circle members, facilitate regular meetings every 4-6 weeks, and keep the circle focused on the person at the centre. As a facilitator, you will receive best practice training in facilitation and person-centred practices and receive ongoing support from a Circle Connector.

Who can become a Circle Facilitator?

• Anyone interested in supporting someone in their community to live a better, more connected life

• Someone who can contribute 2 hours a month

• Someone who listens well to others and who is compassionate

• Someone who enjoys learning new skills

• Someone who can commit to a 12-month period

• Anyone over 18 years of age.

Come along to our morning tea to find out more about our programs, our training and about how you could become a Certified Circles Facilitator!
