Concord Community Garden View in maps

Composting is one of the easiest and most important actions you can make to benefir the environment. Approximatley half of what goes into the red-lidded waste bin is food waste and when it goes to landfill, it is compacted under the soil without air resulting in the production of methane gas (which is 20 times more harmful than carbon dioxide).

In this workshop you will learn the rewarding art of composting using your garden and food waste. Find out the science basics and recipe to make beautiful rich fertiliser for your garden and pot plants. This workshop is suited to beginners and those who have not had success with composting.

The workshop will be held in the beautiful Concord Community Garden which is directly behind the Concord Community Centre building. NB: In case of rain - the workshop will be held inside the Community Centre.

Please note: Bookings are essential. This event is only open to residents of the City of Canada Bay only.
