Composting Workshop @ Rhodes Community Gardens

Join Rhodes Community Garden and Urban Grow in a fun, hands-on workshop, where we take an in-depth look at how to turn your household food waste into the most amazing resource for your garden.

Compost is a valuable organic resource that boosts plant growth, reduces water use, and cuts waste sent to landfill — good for the environment and your wallet.

In this workshop, perfect for beginners to experienced composters, we'll:

• Learn how to make rich compost and worm casting ready for your garden.
• Choosing the right composting system to suit your individual needs.
• The dos and don'ts, tips and tricks to building a healthy system.
• Learn how to get the most out of your finished compost by making our own potting mixes, soil improvers, mulches and garden teas.

This workshop is open to residents of the City of Canada Bay only. Bookings are essential as spots are limited.
