Construction and property industry forum

The Business Recovery Taskforce will lead an examination of how we as a community can support industry clusters which are critical to our local economy. It will examine and confront sector trends and challenges, helping our Council to develop a customised local recovery program which addresses post-COVID changes.

Over the coming months the newly established team will meet and explore opportunities with local businesses and industry experts brought in to help devise targeted strategies. The three main objectives of the taskforce are to:

1. Identify common issues

2. Identify local support strategies

3. Accelerate and provide targeted local assistance.

How the task force will work

Regular business forums will be hosted, inviting local experts to discuss trends, challenges and experiments in an open online forum. All local businesses are invited to participate in these events. The issues and ideas will then be considered by the taskforce, and the taskforce will look at actions for Council or interested parties as a result of the forum.

The task force membership is:
