Experience the art of connection and creativity at Concord Library during NAIDOC Week with our weaving connections workshop.
Connect with others while you share a yarn and weave with Muruwari artist, Dr Virginia Keft. No prior experience is necessary; whether this is your first time or you are an experienced weaver, everyone is welcome.
Workshops are held in a yarning circle, a continuous and non-hierarchical format where people can sit, yarn, and weave together.
Participants are invited to:
• learn simple weaving techniques
• work with natural fibres and found materials
• make together in a shared yarning circle
• connect through conversation and storytelling
• slow down and spend time with the rhythm of making
🎨 This is a Create.Make.Connect event. These events invite our community to slow down, get hands-on, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making something creative together.
