The City of Canada Bay photography competition is an annual competition in which all local residents are invited to participate. The theme for this year's competition was Capture Canada Bay, and entries were open from 5 July until 8 August, 2021.
As Sydney was plunged into lockdown over the winter, City of Canada Bay residents captured their immediate surroundings through the camera lens. These photographs highlight that beauty can be found everywhere, even in the most trying of times.
Photographs were entered in the following three categories: faces, nature, and man-made. One winner and five finalists were selected in each category, and an additional People’s Choice winner was chosen from all 15 finalist photographs. All photographs are original and were taken within the City of Canada Bay.
Showing from Monday 13 to 19 December, this exhibition displays a selection of submitted photographs, finalists and winners from Capture Canada Bay.
