Sydney's most loved Italian street festival will celebrate 21 years in 2018.

Ferragosto is the City of Canada Bay's largest annual event, last year attracting a bumper crowd of close to 110,000 visitors to Five Dock - a suburb with strong Italian links.

This year, Ferragosto will be held on Sunday, 19 August on Great North Road, Five Dock from 10am to 4pm.

Explore the best of Italian culture, entertainment and cooking with more than 300 retailers, food and merchandise stalls offering delicious street eats and handcrafted goods. There will be spectacular dance and music performances across five stages, including headline act, Italian-Australian Comedian, James Liotta.

There will also be free children's rides and activities, fun competitions, dazzling displays of Italian vehicles – including Mini Fiats, Ducati Bikes and Alfa Romeos - plus more.
