Infinity goes Outdoors

Join us for this special Moon Festival projection event that brings the current The Digital Gallery exhibition, Infinity, by artist Si Yi Shen outdoors for the first time, accompanied by traditional Chinese instrumentalists.

Take a stroll along the foreshore at sunset, listen to the music and stop under the Bennelong Bridge to experience the beauty of art in place.

  • 6–6:20pm: Erhu performance by Yuting Zhu and Shuoyan Zhu
  • 7–7:20pm: Guzheng performance by Lizzie Graham-Higgs
  • 8–8:20pm: Guzheng and Chinese Bamboo Flute performance by Meya Chinese Music Ensemble
  • 8:40–9pm: Guzheng performance by Aira Li

This event is made possible through the NSW Department of Communities and Justice grant funded project, Under the Bridges in Rhodes.

You can also continue to visit Infinity by Si Yi Shen, indoors at The Digital Gallery until 2 October 2023. 

Si Yi Shen is an emerging artist working across digital collage and 2D animation, projections, installations and emerging technologies, including augmented reality (AR). Their current art practice explores personal and collective interaction and communication in the digital age. Recent projects include EDGE: Sydenham 2044 x Auspicious Beasts (2023), Migrating West - Open Cut Commissions Broken Hill Gallery (2023), Thrive - The Digital Gallery (2022), Sending You Love - Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre, City of Liverpool (2021), Living - Storybox Darling Harbour / Parramatta, ESEM Projects (2021). She was a recent finalist of the Ravenswood Australian Women's Art Prize (2023) and a participating lab artist at Platform Art (2023).
