Join us for the next Inner West Disability Forum, a member-led initiative that brings together service providers, advocates, people living with a disability, carers, and community members. Our forums are inclusive, informative, and collaborative, with a strong focus on practical insights and community connection.
We will reflect on the year and celebrate the power of community as we mark International Day of People with Disability.
Guest speakers and stalls: There will be guest speakers from OzHarvest and Good in the Hood sharing insights into food relief and community participation. These organisations will also be running interactive stalls accepting optional non-perishable food donations for Good in the Hood’s Christmas Hampers and offering interactive activities on reducing food waste and volunteering opportunities.
Council: Meet the Community Development staff from City of Canada Bay and discuss ways to make the city more inclusive as they shape the next Disability Inclusion Action plan 2026-2030.
Fun and games: After the talks, we will head outside from some fun, lucky draw prizes and socialising with outdoor games and activities on the grass. Catering will be provided to keep everyone energised!
Accessibility note: The venue and green area are fully wheelchair accessible. We recommend bringing a front wheel if possible for extra comfort.
This is a free event.
Good in the Hood will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for their Christmas Hampers.
A full list of suggested donation items will be sent to those who register. Donations are completely optional – your presence and participation are what matter most.
