Introduction to worm farming

Thomas Walker Estate Rivendell View in maps

City of Canada Bay  will run introductory workshops on both worm farming and composting at the Rivendell Flower Show.

These workshops highlight how feeding unwanted fruit and vegetable scraps to a compost bin or compost worms (a type of earthworm) are cheap and simple ways of reducing waste sent to landfill and improving the quality of your garden.

Both sessions will be held on the Saturday of the show. Introduction to worm farming is on from 12.45-1.15pm and the introduction to composting will be held from 1.30pm-2pm.

Rivendell Flower Show in the grounds of Thomas Walker Estate will be a celebration of the great outdoors, offering an extensive array of flower artistry and gardening presentations. There will be floral and organic salad workshops, talks on making your garden pet friendly and styling and design tips and techniques from lifestyle personalities including Don Burke plus much more. It is on from Saturday, 23 September and Sunday, 24 September.
