Meet the Author: Chris Hammer

Online

In collaboration with NSW Public Libraries, we are presenting a virtual author talk with Chris Hammer. Don’t miss this chance to hear Chris Hammer – author of Scrublands and Silver – present his latest novel, Trust, in conversation with Jenn Martin from City of Sydney Library.

Martin Scarsden's new life seems perfect, right up until the moment it's shattered by a voicemail: a single scream, abruptly cut off, from his partner Mandalay Blonde. Set in a Sydney riven with corruption and nepotism, privilege and power, so starts a twisting tale of intrigue and danger, as Martin probes the past of the woman he loves, a woman who has buried her former life so deep she has never mentioned it.

As a journalist, Chris reported for SBS TV for more than thirty years and from more than thirty countries. In Canberra, his roles included Chief Political Correspondent for The Bulletin, Senior Writer for The Age and Online Political Editor for the Age and Sydney Morning Herald.

Bookings are essential and information about the webinar will be emailed to you before the date.

Copies of the book are available to borrow from the library or you can purchase a copy from Booktopia. These books are not signed but a small sale commission will go to the NSW Public Libraries Association.
