For more than a century Long Bay Gaol has been home to Australia’s most notorious criminals.

Patrick Kennedy grew up next door to Long Bay Gaol and both his parents were nurses at the correctional facility.

He uses this personal connection to create a book that is a unique blend of storytelling and history, weaving true crime with painstaking research.
