Mangroves are more than just trees with weird roots, smells and mozzies! They are highly valuable ecosystems that play an essential part in providing a safe refuge for aquatic organisms. They filter our waterways, provide local habitat and assist in preventing flood impacts.

Join us for an afternoon of creativity as we work with one plant subject, the mangroves. This class will build your art skills by demonstration of techniques with ink, paint and gold leaf. The emphasis will be on close observation of the mangroves and create an art piece that is truly unique and meaningful.

This class requires no previous experience and suitable for all skill levels.

The city of Canada Bay regularly hosts Sustainability workshops and events for residents in our Council area, and our residents are given priority for bookings. Bookings are required as spaces are limited.

If you do not reside within the City of Canada Bay but would like to attend an event, please email us at enviroed@canadabay.nsw.gov.au so that we can place you on a waitlist. If there are still places available we will contact you a week prior to the event to let you know that you can register.
