National Tree Day 2026

Get ready to dig in and make a real difference! The City of Canada Bay is celebrating National Tree Day, and we’d love you to be part of this meaningful community event.

Our event this year is jam packed with exciting activities including:

🌭 Free sausage sizzle

🪴 Native plant giveaway (2 per Canada Bay household)

🎨 Face painting by Koori Kinnections

🌿 Guided walk and Nawi making workshop by Koori Kinnections (register your interest here)

Join us at Lovedale Place for a rewarding day of planting and more as we transform the local landscape with trees, shrubs, grasses, and groundcovers. You’ll be helping to create thriving habitats for native wildlife, enhance biodiversity, and extend the important habitat corridor that stretches from McIllwaine Park to Majors Bay Reserve.

What to bring:

• Water bottle
• Hat for sun protection
• Enclosed shoes
• Gloves (or we'll have some available on the day)
