Open Maker 2026

Open Maker is your space to create, tinker, and bring your ideas to life!

Join us every Monday and Thursday evening for casual, self-led sessions where you can work on your own projects, repair items, or explore new skills. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with peers, share knowledge, and take advantage of our Makerspace equipment—completely free! 

Explore tools like the laser cutter, 3D printers, die cutting machines, and a range of electronics while connecting with a community of fellow makers. For more information, bookings, and helpful resources, visit our dedicated Open Maker website.

To access the Makerspace, participants must:

• Be 16+ with a full library membership
• Book a session in advance
• Complete a Safety Induction
• Wear enclosed shoes and appropriate PPE
• Adhere to the Safe Operating Procedures
• Not use external equipment or tools

Do you prefer a facilitator-led workshop? 

If you are looking for a facilitator-led program or just starting out on your Maker journey, we recommend booking one of our Open Maker Workshops before joining the self-led Open Maker sessions.

Important to know:

• The purpose of our service is to support community learning and prototyping small quantities of your own creations, as we are a non-commercial organisation.
• Photos and video may be taken during the event and shared across the library's and Council's communication channels (including but not limited to social media and eNewsletters). Please notify a staff member if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
