Special presentation in climate change: Appetite for Destruction

Five Dock Library View in maps

Food production impacts our environment more than anything else we do.

Few of us realise that we are now in the midst of the "Sixth Great Extinction", and that our use of nitrogen is considered the greatest cause of environmental pollution.

This presentation by scientist Gerard Wedderburn-Bisshop examines the impact of food production on the systems that make our planet habitable. We examine biodiversity loss, deforestation, land degradation, nitrogen pollution, the oceans and climate and look at how our diet can profoundly affect sustainability.

Join us at Five Dock Library. Bookings are essential. Light refreshments will be provided between 6.30-7pm.
