Vertical Gardening Workshop

Did you know you don't need a lot of space to create a productive garden? You can create clusters of edible plants, native flower ecosystems or a combination of both right along a wall on your balcony or on the wall of your house.

In this workshop, you will learn:

• How to construct different types of vertical gardens
• How to create your own nutritious soil for your plants, seedlings and seeds
• How to set up an automatic drip system for your new vertical garden
• What plants are the best choice for vertical gardens
• How to create a diverse organic habitat using your vertical garden.

Join us for a morning packed with useful information about vertical garden construction and maintenance coupled with hands on experience in seed planting and creating your own soil from scratch. Gardening expert, Steve Batley from Sydney Organic Gardens, will teach you everything you need to know.

The health and safety of our community remains our top priority. This is a COVID safe event. Council is following the latest State and Federal health guidelines, and if any COVID-19 restrictions increase, this event may be cancelled or postponed.

In the event of wet weather, this workshop will be moved to an alternate close by location or postponed to a later date. You will be advised by email from Council.

This event is not suitable for children under 12 years old. Children under the age of 14 will need to be supervised by a responsible adult.
