Come and join the action at The Connection, Rhodes for a free, interactive bike experience on Sunday, 30 September 2018 8am to 12 pm as part of Bike Week.

Bring your own bike and helmet to the event, or hire a free bike, to explore the sites of the Rhodes foreshore. You can talk to the experts, learn new skills and be part of a safe and secure environment to build greater confidence on your bike.

The event is open to all ages and all levels of riding experience.

Come along and enjoy activities including:

  • Free bike tune-ups for your personal bike (tyres pumped, brakes tightened & gears checked)
  • Join in on our Heritage Cycle Tour around the Homebush Bay foreshore and across the Bennelong Bridge (bookings essential – limited space). Click on the link below to book a space on either the 8.45am or 10.45am tour (6km of shared bike paths with minimal road crossings)
  • Be part of a three hour bike maintenance course to demystify basic mechanics
  • Hire a bike and helmet at The Connection, Rhodes (free, please bring driver’s license or photographic ID). A variety of adult and children’s bikes will be available.
  • Test ride an electric bicycle (please bring driver’s license or photographic ID)
  • Explore the shared bike paths of the City of Canada Bay
  • Join in on a variety of fun-filled community activities
  • Free giveaways and more!

What you need to know:

All cyclists must wear a correctly fitted helmet while riding. An adult must accompany children under 16 years of age. Bring a water bottle. A filling station will be available.
