Artists invited to exhibit work at Canada Bay Libraries

Community & events | 13 April 2026

The City of Canada Bay Libraries Exhibitions Program is calling for submissions from artists, creatives and art-inspired groups interested in having their work displayed at Concord and Five Dock Libraries.

The program gives artists of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels the chance to bring their unique points of view into some of the City’s most frequented public spaces.

Mayor Michael Megna said the Program reflects the City’s commitment to foster creativity in the community.

“By providing free exhibition space, we’re helping local artists reach new audiences while ensuring our Libraries remain vibrant spaces of culture and ideas,” Mayor Megna said.

“We look forward to welcoming applications from a wide range of artists who reflect the diversity and energy of our City.”

Artists selected to exhibit may sell the work if they wish and can choose to participate in the Libraries’ Create.Make.Connect program, hosting workshops or interactive events that invite the public to experience the creative process.

Applications open on 1 May 2026 for exhibitions between July and December, with a second round opening in October for exhibitions scheduled from January to June 2027. Applicants do not need to live in Canada Bay, but they should demonstrate a connection to the local community or cultural life.

For more information, including guidelines, selection criteria and to submit an application, visit the Library Exhibitions Program page or contact the team via libraryexhibitions@canadabay.nsw.gov.au.
