“This is an ideal partnership that will greatly benefit older residents in our Local Government Area,” she said.
Careseekers connects people looking for carers with qualified, trustworthy and ready to work carers for all in-home situations.
“The Bay Connection and Active Adults programs engage with over 190 participants from around the City of Canada Bay area,” Deputy Mayor McCaffrey said.
“This is an important community initiative that offers enjoyment and interaction for local seniors and we’re excited to have the support of Careseekers.”
“Careseekers is thrilled to support the City of Canada Bay in delivering this invaluable service,” said Careseekers Co-Founder Marissa Sandler.
“We believe providing opportunities for individuals, either those with a disability or in their older years, to participate in their community can lead to greatly improved wellbeing and overall health outcomes,” she said.
Bay Connection trips are available to people over 55 years of age, who are living at home and interested in getting out and about in a group environment.
Active Adults trips are full-day expeditions to exciting locations for those who are able to walk moderate distances.
