Congratulations to the winners of the 2012 Christmas Postcard Competition says Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.
The annual City of Canada Bay and Cleanaway Christmas Postcard Competition educates and reminds our community about recycling correctly, especially at Christmas time.
“Christmas is a wonderful time of year, but also a time of additional waste. It’s important to remember that there are many items that can be recycled, and we should ensure we are correctly recycling what we can,” Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.
A number of fantastic prizes are up for grabs through the competition and we now have winners.
Congratulations to Margaret Kirkby, first prize winner of family accommodation at Jemby Rinjah Eco Lodge in Blackheath. Second prize winner of a dining voucher for Dedes Resteraunt in Abbotsford is Patti Steinfeldt and third prize (a $100 sustainable living pack from Nature’s Organics) has been won by Hazel Bateman, Ian Bayley, Andrew Bursill, Wendy Nolan, Veronica Smith, Tama Williams, Sandy Hutchison, Karen Renfrey, Robyn Clover and Debbie Quan.
“Congratulations to everyone and thank you for your commitment to recycling and reducing waste at Christmas and throughout the year,” Mayor Tsirekas added.
