Categories include Citizen of the Year, Sports Citizen, Arts and Culture Citizen and Young Citizen.
“This is an honorary award that recognises and celebrates local citizens who have achieved extraordinary feats,” Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.
“The recipients of these awards are inspirational individuals who have dedicated their time to care for, as well as better our community.”
Nominations for Young Citizen of the Year are open to residents 12 to 24 years of age (as of 26 January 2013) and nominations for Citizen of the Year are open to residents 25 years or over (as of 26 January 2013).
The winners will be acknowledged on Australia Day 2013.
