City of Canada Bay Libraries invites bookworms to click and collect!

Community & events | 20 September 2021

The City of Canada Bay is delighted to announce that Concord Library will be open for contactless Click and Collect from Monday, 20 September.

“We are excited to be offering this COVID-safe, contactless service for our local book lovers,” said Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.

“I would like to thank the NSW Government for amending the public health order to allow for this service to get back up and running and also give thanks to our staff who have done a great job this week preparing for the service to be ready in time for the beginning of school holidays.”

This service will be available from Concord Library, Monday to Friday from 10am-4pm. In line with the current NSW health orders, library members living within the City of Canada Bay LGA or five kilometres of the library will be able to borrow up to 10 items.

Members can reserve items via phone, email, the online catalogue or the City of Canada Bay Libraries app (download on App store or Google Play), and they will be contacted by phone or email with a pick-up time to collect their items.

“While our eLibrary has been available throughout this period of restrictions, introducing Click and Collect is a positive step forward as we navigate our way out of lockdown and towards reopening our libraries. We look forward to welcoming our community members back onsite soon,” said Mayor Angelo Tsirekas.

The Click and Collect service is expected to expand to Five Dock Library in the coming weeks. As always, library members can enjoy a range of ebooks, audiobooks and online resources through our eLibrary. Our Home Library Service is also available for those who are unable to access our Click and Collect service due to age, illness or disability.
