Concord Carnival is almost here

There will be sheep-shearing, cow-milking, fresh, local food, family fun, farmyard animals in the petting zoo, pony rides, and kids cooking classes. Plus explore more than 80 food, merchandise and information stalls and much more!

Here’s a rundown of what’s on during the day:

  • LJ Hooker Drummoyne Concord Kids’ Activity arena

                        Sydney-based children's cooking and food preparation business, Get Kids Cooking, will inspire youngsters to create healthy and tasty dishes using fresh ingredients at Concord Carnival this year! Presented by Council's  program, the Get Kids Cooking marquee will feature kids cooking classes, cutting and peeling workshops for children and family-friendly cooking demonstrations.

                        Don't forget to snap your child whipping up a dish at Concord Carnival, then 'like'  and post the photo on the page for your chance to win a cooking kit valued at $26.95!

                                              Concord Carnival will showcase some great local talent, along with some new faces. The , sponsored by Canada Bay Club and McGrath Concord will feature local dance groups such as Ceroc and Modern Jive Dance Company, Dorothy Cowie School of Dancing, Belinda’s Art of Dance, ED5 International and more. There will also be a special appearance by kids’ favourite – Fun with Franky.

                                              At the , you can dance away to Lolo Lovina, the Balkan Gypsies and catch the Sydney Swing Katz in action!

                                              Once again we are doing all we can to make Concord Carnival a sustainable community celebration. We encourage people to bring their own reusable carry bags, ride to the event, refill their water at the Sydney Water and take part in a range of workshops:

                                                          There’s no booking required for these workshops, just come along and take part!

                                                          Concord Carnival is on Sunday, 11 October from 10am–4pm at Greenlees Park, Ian Parade, Concord. We encourage you to walk, cycle, take public transport or car pool to the event as there will be limited street parking.  Keep an eye out for Council's free shuttle bus, which will be operating on the day between 10am and 4.30pm. It will take passengers from Queen Elizabeth Park, Concord to Greenlees Park via Broughton St and back again via Majors Bay Rd in a continuous loop.
