With a fantastic range of entertainment, including live music and dancing, cooking demonstrations, kids’ activities, market stalls and much more, this is a fantastic day out for the whole family.
Enjoy a taste of Italy with a great line up of entertainers. Well-known Italian singer Natalie Colavito will be on the FerraFesta (main stage), accompanied by some of Australia’s finest musicians in the Greg Hooper Band. Ferragosto audiences will be mesmerised by the power of her voice. Also on this stage is performer Ricky Daniele, bringing a combination of classical, ballads, pop and rock.
There will also be non-stop entertainment on both the FerraMusica and FerraGiovani stages.
The popular FerraCucina is back, featuring chefs from local businesses Angelo’s on the Bay, La Casa, Gatto Matto Trattoria, Five Dock Meat Market and Sapori Mediterranean Cuisine. There will be an array of wines specially selected by Tintilla Estate and Petersons Wines to compliment the wonderful Italian food prepared by the chefs.
A key drawcard will be Julie Goodwin, MasterChef Australia’s first winner, who will launch the Environment Protection Agency’s “Love Food Hate Waste” project. The project is aimed at encouraging people to put their food waste to good use by creating left-over recipes and all the chefs of the FerraCucina will follow this theme in their recipes. The MasterChef truck will also be in attendance featuring a selection of interesting recipes from the TV show.
Displays of traditional Italian vehicles, Fiats, Alfa Romeos and Ducati motorbikes will add to the ambience of the festival. It promises to be a great day out!
The event is brought to you by the City of Canada Bay and is supported by the Inner West Courier, Birkenhead Point Outlet Centre, Adshel, Canada Bay Club, Cleanaway, Club Five Dock RSL, Channel 9 and Five Dock Chrysler Jeep Dodge and Leichhardt Fiat Alfa.
