The bustling town centre on Great North Road is the heart of Five Dock. The area is home to one of our City of Canada Bay libraries, an array of traditional Italian stores, the site of our beloved annual Ferragosto festival, and more.
We are always looking to improve the City of Canada Bay’s places and spaces. Planning is well underway on the final stage of our Five Dock Streetscape Upgrade project, part of our vision to activate the town centre.
This $3.3 million project is part of the City of Canada Bay’s long-term plan to revitalise the main street of Five Dock. The works will see Great North Road from Henry Street to Queens Road upgraded with new street trees and shrubs, new high quality pavement and street furniture, and improvements to the drainage system.
Construction is scheduled to commence in early 2021 and be completed before the end of the year, weather permitting.
