Vivid Sydney, the world’s largest festival of light, music and ideas, returns to Rhodes this year.
“I am pleased to announce that The Connection will host our Rhodes Creative program this winter, part of Vivid Ideas 2019,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Angelo Tsirekas said.
Rhodes Creative: Hands-on Tech for Curious Creatives is a series of workshops that engage our entire community with the latest in creative practice.
“Our three Rhodes Creative workshops have been developed specifically for Vivid Sydney. Held at The Connection along the picturesque foreshore overlooking the Parramatta River, these events are designed to provide creatives with new innovative skills to enhance their practice.”
Revolutionise your textile designs. Learn how to sew with conductive thread, embed LEDs and sensors into your work, and use programmable platforms.
Transform your ideas into designs ready for 3D printing. Unlock the power of Fusion 360 for modelling and explore the creative potentials of additive 3D printing.
Create your own augmented reality. You will shoot video, compile it in an augmented reality app, and program a trigger in the physical environment.
“Our team at The Connection continues to break new ground in teaching digital technology. I encourage digital creatives to come along to Rhodes Creative and benefit from our expert facilitators,” Mayor Tsirekas said.
