Greenlees Park streetscape transformation complete

Planning & building | 25 February 2026

The streetscape surrounding Greenlees Park, Concord, has been transformed following a recent upgrade by the City of Canada Bay.

In response to community feedback, the City of Canada Bay has improved parking availability and access along Greenlees Avenue, Concord.

“We’re working hard to make our streets safer, more accessible, and better connected, especially for pedestrians and cyclists,” said City of Canada Bay Mayor Michael Megna.

“As well as creating 28 new rear-to-kerb parking spaces, we’ve added a new accessible parking space, reconstructed the existing pram ramp, and widened and repaved the shared path.”

“While small, these improvements will make a real difference to the community by making it easier for people to get around, especially families, older residents and people with mobility needs."

The project also delivered new landscaping and kerb extensions, as well as traffic islands, line markings and bollards to improve pedestrian safety, slow traffic and create a more welcoming streetscape.

The Greenlees Park Streetscape Upgrade is one of several projects the City of Canada Bay has recently completed to improve traffic, road safety, and pedestrian access. Residents can visit Collaborate Canada Bay for more information.
