“The upgrade of Wangal Reserve is one of six projects identified as part of the Breakfast Point Community Enhancement Plan for the area and we are keen to have community input,” he said.

“Wangal Reserve has amazing outlooks over the water and upgrading the park will ensure it remains a wonderful destination for residents and visitors in the future.”

Council is currently developing a Plan of Management for Wangal Reserve and Punt Park, which will guide future works and prioritise improvements that were suggested by the community during consultation for the Breakfast Point Community Enhancement Plan.

Key features of the plan include:

“We are holding a community drop-in event on Saturday, 22 August from 10am to 12pm at Wangal Reserve (Hilly Street, Mortlake) and encourage everyone to come along and provide feedback,” Mayor Tsirekas said.
