Hop into Easter with hopscotch

| 07 April 2017

Council is encouraging the community, both young and old, to take a moment out of their day over the holiday period to enjoy a game.

It is hoped the hopscotch games will provide residents with a physical activity and a talking point to spark social interaction.

“City of Canada Bay is encouraging people to take a moment out of their busy lives to enjoy a game of hopscotch and meet other residents,” City of Canada Bay Mayor Helen McCaffrey said. “No matter your age or fitness level, exercise can be a great tool to make you feel good.”

Mayor McCaffrey said the hopscotch games also added vibrancy to parks and retail centres. “We are keen to create environments which encourage engagement and connection within the community,” she said.

Following the Easter break, the hopscotch games will stay in place for a number of months to entertain the community.
